If you're seeing errors like:

  • Unable to connect to Proctortrack

  • The app crashes after download

  • Nothing happens when you click “Connect to Proctortrack.”

  • The app becomes unresponsive or won't launch

  • It looks like you haven’t yet installed the Proctortrack application. Please ensure you have downloaded and installed it before clicking “Open Proctortrack. 
    If you haven’t downloaded the application yet, please do so now, then complete the installation before proceeding.

Step-by-Step Fixes

1.  Your Antivirus Software Might Be Blocking Proctortrack

Fix:


2. Corrupted Installation — Clean Uninstall and Reinstall

Fix:

  1. Uninstall Proctortrack:

    • Open the "Control Panel".


  • Select "Proctortrack", then click "Uninstall".

  • Confirm by clicking "OK".

    2. Delete leftover files:

  1. Navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local

  2. Delete the folder named proctortrack-updater.


3. You May Be Using an Outdated Version
Fix:

1. Re-download the latest version of Proctortrack.

2. Reinstall the recently downloaded version

3. Launch the app after installing.




4.  Firewall or Network Settings Are Blocking It

Fix:

  • When prompted for network access, click “Allow”.

  • Make sure your firewall is not blocking the Proctortrack app.

  • If you're on a school or work network, try switching to a personal Wi-Fi connection.



5. Acknowledge the policy agreement, then click "Submit".


6. Check All System Requirements

Once the app opens, you’ll go through a System Check covering:

  • Virtual Machine

  • Hard Drive

  • Monitor

  • Microphone

  • Webcam

  • Operating System

After that, you’ll be prompted to complete your Face Scan, ID Scan, and Room Scan.

Then, download the ETS application from the test portal and continue to your test page with the help of your Live Proctor.
