If you encounter issues launching the Proctortrack App, please consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Network Connectivity: Ensure that you are not connected to any restricted network or work network that may interfere with the app's functionality.
     

  2. System Requirements: Verify if your computer meets the necessary Proctortrack requirements. You can find detailed information about the technical requirements here.
     

  3. Anti-virus/Firewall Settings: Check if any installed anti-virus or firewall software is blocking or deleting the Proctortrack app. If so, temporarily disable the antivirus software and try launching the app again.


  4. Virtual Machines: Proctortrack does not support virtual machines. Ensure that you are not attempting to launch the app on a virtual machine environment.





  5. Background Processes: Check if the Proctortrack application is already running in the background. To do so:

    • On Windows: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager, navigate to the Details tab, search for "Proctortrack," and end the process.

    • On Mac: Press Command + Space, type "Activity Monitor," search for "Proctortrack," and force quit the process.


  6. Uninstallation and Reinstallation: If necessary, uninstall the older version of Proctortrack from your system:

    6.1. Uninstallation steps :
     

      A. For Windows:

  • Open Control Panel, go to Programs and Features, find "Proctortrack," and uninstall it.
  • Additionally, navigate to the Proctortrack directory (C:\Users"Current User Directory"\AppData\Roaming) and delete the "Proctortrack" and "Verificient" folders.

      B. For Mac:

  • From the "Go" menu, select "Go to Folder," enter "~/Library/Application Support/," find the "Proctortrack" folder, and move it to trash.

  6.2. Reinstallation Steps : 
          After uninstalling the previous version, reinstall the latest version of the Proctortrack  Application. You can download it from the Proctortrack Download page and follow the installation instructions provided.
