Overview

If you no longer need the Proctortrack application on your device, you can easily uninstall it by following the steps below. This guide outlines the process for both Windows and macOS systems.


Uninstalling Proctortrack on Windows


Method: Using Control Panel

  1. Click the Search icon or bar on your taskbar.

  2. Type Control Panel and select it from the results.

  3. In the Control Panel window, select Programs.

  4. Click Uninstall a program under the Programs section.

  5. Locate Proctortrack & Proctortrack Exam Browser from the list of installed programs.

  6. Right-click Proctortrack and select Uninstall.

  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.

Alternative Method: Using Settings (Windows 10/11)

  1. Click the Start button and select Settings (gear icon).

  2. Choose Apps from the menu.

  3. Under Apps & features, scroll to find Proctortrack.

  4. Click on Proctortrack, then select Uninstall.

  5. Confirm your selection when prompted and follow the on-screen instructions.

Uninstalling Proctortrack on macOS

Method: Using Launchpad

  1. Click the Launchpad icon in your Dock (looks like a rocket ship).

  2. Locate the Proctortrack application.

  3. Press and hold the Proctortrack icon until it starts to jiggle.

  4. Click the Delete (X) button on the top-left corner of the icon.

  5. Confirm deletion when prompted.

Note: If the Delete (X) button doesn’t appear, use the Finder method below.

Method: Using Finder

  1. Open Finder.

  2. Click Applications in the left sidebar.

  3. Locate Proctortrack in the list of installed applications.

  4. Drag the Proctortrack application to the Trash in your Dock, or right-click and select Move to Trash.

  5. To permanently remove it, right-click the Trash icon and choose Empty Trash.

Additional Tip (macOS Only)

To ensure a clean uninstall, you may also remove any remaining Proctortrack support files:

  1. Open Finder.

  2. Press Command + Shift + G to open Go to Folder.

  3. Type ~/Library/Application Support and press Enter.

  4. Locate and delete the Proctortrack folder, if present.

Caution: Only delete files you are certain belong to Proctortrack.
