GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST

  1. Is the camera properly plugged in? Unplug and replug it, including plugging it into a different USB port. Something will pop up on your screen or you will hear a sound if the webcam is successfully reconnected.

  2. Does the camera work for other applications such as video conferencing software? If so, the issue will likely be that the Operating System is not providing access to the camera for MVProctor.

  3. Are there any other applications currently using the webcam? If so, please close these applications. Only one application at a time can use your camera.

  4. Some cameras have an “OFF/ON” switch. If you have one, be sure it is set to “ON.”

  5. Does your camera need a software update? (See below)
