1. Open File Explorer and find Control Panel or type Control Panel in the Search box in the lower left of the desktop

  1. Click the Recording tab for visual verification that your microphone works and that the microphone set as default is the one which is working

  1. Open the Microphone and click on the Levels tab in the new window. Adjust the acuity of the microphone using the slider bar.

  1. Click OK to apply changes and close. Right-click on the speaker icon in lower right of desktop and open the Volume Mixer. Be sure that the Speakers and System Sounds are turned up and not muted.
