My microphone is not detected/working for MAC and you are getting a microphone error at the systems to check the stage of application, the microphone input volume/sensitivity might need to be increased.
To increase the volume/sensitivity:
Go to System Preferences
Go to Sound
Go to Input and increase the Input Volume. Try speaking into the microphone once and then click Retry on the application window. Also, make sure the Use ambient noise reduction checkbox is unchecked.
